Testimonials
This place is just what you imagine living in Hawaii is like. Amazing views off the lanai that we took advantage of everyday. Having all the fruit trees and animals around was awesome. The location is in a quiet area and easy jump-off point for many areas around the island. Steve was a great host with lots of good information. I would highly recommend to everyone.
It's such a wonderful farm and there is plenty of space. So many cool things. The lanai is wonderful and it was so peaceful. There's a few things to keep in mind for people staying there. There's no microwave (it really doesn't fit the wellness retreat); there weren't a lot of towels provided, so if you have more than 3 people, you might want to plan ahead; there are roosters nearby, but not on the farm, I didn't find them very loud, but they do make themselves known; there aren't any napkins or paper towels provided, so if that's something you use, pick them up at the store. The road there is super bumpy, so be really careful if you're driving an economy rental car or something with a low clearance. It's a very cool place and it's a really unique atmosphere that you can only get on Hawaii. We are so glad this was part of our vacation.
Absolutely beautiful property! You are able to get away from everything and just relax. I brought my 2 kids with me 13 and 11. My 11 year old has Autism, he was able to enjoy the property and just be himself. Maka and Lani would sit with him on the balcony every evening while he pet them. If we get a chance we would definitely be back.
The Ohana House is a place of great tranquility and peace. Its very close to the coffee farms and the Kealakekua Bay for an amazing snorkeling experience ! Captain cook is far less touristy than Kona which is exactly what I was hoping for. You wake up to the sounds of birds chirping, the sheep baaing and the ducks waddling around. There are amazing places to eat nearby at less than a 5 miles distance. Dont miss Loko Wraps or Shaka Tacoz for the most amazing food (with several vegetarian/vegan options).
